Dan slept in until 8:00 AM! The mechanic came by to reinstall the repaired guard cover while we took Liam for a walk. Another great weather day here in Kentucky, but in Florida they are bracing for a major hurricane—Milton. We walked over to the ship’s store to pick up our Amazon boxes—it was actually cold out. Dan called the urgent care to make an appointment—he got one at 1:00 PM and he requested that Sam, the golf cart driver, pick him up to bring him there. I opened the packages—Liam’s liver treats, Liam’s CET chews, a gas grill regulator, and a decent butter dish that actually seals shut.
Dan got back from urgent care, and they prescribed him a different medication to try, thankfully! He is in a catch-22 situation—his PCP won’t do anything unless he sees him, and the other urgent cares wouldn’t do anything either. Being in that situation is bound to raise one’s blood pressure! Dan went back to work, and I took the floor mats outside to clean them, along with the two step-stools from the bridge. Dan finished up with work and continued cleaning the outside of the boat while I got the vacuum out and cleaned the floors in the salon. The decks looked great for about 10 minutes until Liam walked on them, leaving dirty little paw prints. We had lasagna and salad for dinner and watched some dancing.
