Tenn-Tom Waterway: Fulton, MS – Midway Marina – Day 2

2024-10-27

Dan slept in, then we took Liam for a walk. On the way back to the boat, we stopped at the marina office to reserve the courtesy car so Dan could fill his prescription. The local pharmacy did not open until 11:00 AM being Sunday. The car was reserved all afternoon, so Dan signed it out and then drove back to Tupelo to get his meds and some water for the boat. I cleaned up and made some tortellini salad. I watched football all day—Dan went to chat with fellow Loopers to discern who all was planning to leave in the morning. Ti Amo volunteered to run the flotilla in the morning. Flotilla was Ti Amo, Carolina Girl, Lovin Life, Legacy, and Loop Dawg. The thought was to get an early start. Dan came back and I started to prep for dinner, but when I went to parboil the chicken thighs, I discovered that they had turned bad—the sell by date was 10/30/24 and it was a family pack—ugh! We had to go to plan B, which was Bubba burgers and tortellini salad. Dan turned in early since he didn’t get back from the hospital until 2:00 AM, and we were going to have to get up at 5:30 AM. I watched football!
