AICWW: Beaufort, SC to Ashepoo River – Fenwick State Park Anchorage

2025-04-10

Dan was waiting for the postman to arrive at the marina. He had Realo ship his meds to the marina—he asked that they be sent FedEx but, sadly, they were sent via USPS. So, we asked for a late check-out and finally they arrived at about 1:00 PM! While we were waiting, the Blue Angels were practicing overhead—it was loud but amazing! It is finally not windy—it has been very windy for several days now. So, we finally took off. Along the way we passed an historic boat, the Nellie Crockett. We anchored in the Ashepoo River near Fenwick State Park in the middle of nowhere N32°31.73′ W080°34.61′. It was very stormy overnight with thunder and lightning. I called out to Dan, but he was out cold, so I struggled to close all the windows. For dinner, we had BBQ chicken, potato salad, broccoli, and we watched The Amazing Race.

Chart plot of today’s cruise.

22 nights to go
