We got up and took off to Georgetown. Après Sail was also going to Georgetown, so we were looking forward to seeing them since we have not seen them since June in Canada! It was a nice ride, and it was not cold. Sometime during the ride, Dan called and requested the fly swatter—he was getting attacked! Then he called again and asked me to come get Liam because Liam was freaking out—Liam hates the fly swatter! I went and got him, but I didn’t want to because I didn’t want to hurt my knee. Eventually, Dan came and drove from inside because the flies were just too irritating. We tried putting the Thermacell up there, but frankly, we didn’t know how to use it. Eventually, we left the swamp and the flies dissipated. Dan and Liam went back to the bridge and order was restored.
We arrived in Georgetown and anchored near our sister ship, Après Sail at N33°21.8′ W079°16.91′. It was quite gusty and Dan noticed that we were dragging anchor! Apparently, he did not put out enough scope and one of the gusts loosened the anchor, so we reset the anchor. We met Michael and Kathleen at the restaurant Between the Antlers. The service was terrible, but the food was good—I had Brunswick stew. It was nice to catch up with Michael and Kathleen—we talked a long time.
