So, we made it to the AGLCA Fall Rendezvous—I’m happy for Dan, but I could be fine not going. The location, however, is just fabulous. The weather is amazing—cool and crisp in the morning, then heating up throughout the day. Since Dan volunteered us for the Looper Crawl, I felt that I had a lot to do before Monday. However, Dan wanted to change the oil— “It will only take an hour!” Two and a half hours later, he was done, so basically the floor is totally open so I can’t get around, and I have to be inside to be sure that Liam didn’t fall in-not ideal. The good news is that the marina will take the used oil! Once Dan was done with the oil, he went outside to clean, and I started to do a clean sweep—getting rid of stuff and putting other stuff away. I was working away when I noticed a very harsh odor. I looked around and didn’t see anything untoward on our boat. I looked outside and saw many people with pig mats wiping up something—I was wondering if we had spilled oil, but it turned out to be that some boat had topped off their diesel with water! What a bummer! So, everyone pitched in to clean up as much diesel as possible. Dan wanted to go to the seafood buffet at the lodge, so we did that, but it was not very good at all—shocking! We took Liam for a walk and called it quits. PS: Dan ran out to the Bentley’s Platinum Loop celebration, and we went to docktails before dinner.
